Andrew Little describes chaos in Lombok earthquake

Justice Minister Andrew Little has been caught up in a major earthquake in Indonesia's popular tourist island of Lombok. The 7-magnitude earthquake struck around midnight (NZ time), triggering a brief tsunami warning. Close to 40 people have been reported killed. Many buildings have been affected in Lombok's main city of Mataram with the power going out in many areas and debris is littering the streets. It comes just one week after another quake in the same area killed more than a dozen people. The quake was also felt in nearby Bali, patients at Denpasar hospital were evacuated and tended to by doctors in the streets. Mr Little and Australia's Home Affairs Minister Peter Dutton are in Mataram in Lombok for a security conference. They were evacuated to the local airport.
