Nurses 'at breaking point' in aged care

A rest home nurse has spoken of her guilt at being so busy she did not have the time to hold the hand of a dying patient. Rest homes are predicting they'll soon be short of about a thousand staff as nurses move to better pay in public hospitals. A decision is expected today on whether hospital nurses will accept a deal giving them pay rises of between 12 and a half and 16 percent. RNZ health correspondent, Karen Brown, reports on what's being described as a staffing crisis in the aged care sector.
