Auckland DHBs may struggle to find new staff - nurses

From Morning Report, 6:43 am on 8 August 2018

The nurses union says District Health Boards in the Auckland region may find it harder than others to recruit additional staff in the coming months. Nurses and DHBs on Tuesday settled an ongoing dispute over pay and working conditions. The agreement included pay increases of between 12.5 and 16 percent and a boost of 500 extra nurses nationwide. The nurses union spokeswoman Cee Payne told RNZ reporter Nita Blake-Persen she's confident the positions will be filled in the next few months, but she says that will be easier for some DHBs than others.
