Tourism sector urged to find new ways to attract tourists

The tourism industry is being urged to find ways of encouraging tourists to visit off-season and to venture towards much-less visited regions with new and unique tourism attractions. The country's most popular destinations like Queenstown and Auckland are struggling to cope with growth, especially during the peak summer season. And as Anusha Bradley reports, the answer may be in offering more personalised, authenthic and cultural experiences in smaller towns, with Maori tourism picked to be a big growth area.
