Hapū want further discussion on Ngāpuhi deal - Little

The government and Ngapuhi remain deadlocked after the latest hui on treaty negotiations. Treaty of Waitangi Negotiations Minister Andrew Little met with with hapu in Northland at the weekend to try to persuade them to allow a new structure to negotiate their long-awaited settlement. Mr Little had hoped to make progress at the weekend but Pita Tipene, who co-chairs the hapu alliance Te Kotahitanga, says Mr Little's proposal was universally rejected. Mr Little talks to Susie Ferguson.
