Son of All Black George Nepia among soldiers repatriated to NZ

The son of rugby legend, George Nepia, is one of 28 servicemen whose remains will be returned to New Zealand next week. The men died while serving in Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore and Vietnam and were buried overseas. Their remains will be returned at a ceremony at Auckland Airport next Tuesday. Sergeant George Nepia, the rugby icon's eldest child died in Malaya in 1954, aged 24. Te Manu Korihi reporter Te Aniwa Hurihanganui spoke to Sergeant Nepia's sister-in-law, Judy and his nephew, also named George.
