French, UK fishermen clash over scallops

From Morning Report, 8:54 am on 31 August 2018

French and British fishermen have clashed in the English Channel in an escalating battle over scallops. UK boats are entitled to fish in the scallop-rich area year-round, but the French, who are under a fishing ban between May and October, say the British are looting the shellfish stocks. Guyon Espiner talks to Mike Park, chief executive of the Scottish White Fish Producers Association, one of the groups at the centre of the dispute.
