Fishers celebrate as shark cage diving ruled an offence

From Morning Report, 7:38 am on 5 September 2018

Shark Diving has been ruled an offence ending a long stoush between paua divers and tourism operaters on Stewart Island. Shark sightings used to be a rarity around the island but local fishermen claimed the baiting of the Great Whites has made them associate boats and humans with food - sparking a surge in their population. Helen Cave owns the Seaside Hotel on Stewart Island, and Jeremy Cooper is the chief executive of the Paua Industry Council. They talk to Guyon Espiner.
