State care abuse survivors await Royal Commission

From Morning Report, 8:50 am on 6 September 2018

Survivors of abuse in state care are worried about how long it is taking to get a Royal Commission of Inquiry underway. The inquiry was announced in February, and after consultation, a report written by the commission's chair Sir Anand Satyanand was given to the minister of Internal Affairs, Tracey Martin at the end of May. Three months later survivors are wondering why the inquiry's still not started.
