Bishop calls for Haumaha to stand aside after bullying claims
The National Party is calling for Deputy Police Commissioner Wally Haumaha to stand aside. Yesterday it was confirmed that formal complaints have been laid against the Mr Haumaha, accusing him of bullying. A separate inquiry, into the appointment of Mr Haumaha is also underway, after it emerged he made comments in 2004, defending police officers accused of raping Louise Nicholas in the 1990s. The complaints have been handed on to the Independent Police Conduct Authority. Chris Bishop is National's police spokesperson. He talks to Susie Ferguson.
