Police can't see ethnicity of drivers before pursuits - Coster

The police deny bias is to blame for the high number of Māori involved in police pursuits. Official figures show in the past four years more Māori were warned, charged and killed in police pursuits than any other ethnic group. Lawyer Moana Jackson told RNZ bias in the police force was largely to blame. But Acting Deputy Police Commissioner, Andy Coster, told RNZ Te Manu Korihi reporter Te Aniwa Hurihanganui he rejects that.
