Bowel cancer patients waiting longer for diagnosis

New figures show many district health boards are falling behind in delivering timely diagnosis for one of the country's major cancer killers. Data released to RNZ News under the Official Information Act reveal that many patients throughout the country are waiting longer than they should for a colonoscopy to detect bowel cancer. A bowel cancer lobby group says it's a crisis, and a postcode lottery, and must be fixed. RNZ health correspondent Karen Brown talks to Kim Hill.
