NZ First Party celebrates 25 years

From Morning Report, 7:12 am on 28 September 2018

This weekend Winston Peters and the NZ First party will celebrate 25 years of existence at its annual convention and the venue is suitably fitting. NZ First is descending on Tauranga on Saturday, which was the seat Mr Peters held for 21 years, first for National and then briefly as an independent before successfully re-contesting it after the formation of NZ First. Perhaps even more fitting for the Racing Minister is the fact it's being held at the racecourse. RNZ political reporter Jo Moir spoke to Mr Peters on Thursday night. She started by asking him whether the party's membership has changed as a result of NZ First choosing Labour as their coalition partner.
