Challenging Crown over Treaty breaches too costly

A retired probation officer was left out of pocket when he exposed the Department of Corrections for not trying hard enough to reduce Māori reoffending. Now other Waitangi Tribunal claimants are concerned about the mounting costs of challenging the Crown for breaching the Treaty.
