Public transport groups criticise Auckland light rail plan

A public transport lobby group is attacking plans to build a light rail line between Auckland Airport and the city centre. Earlier this year the government announced it had allocated funding of one point eight billion dollars to build light rail for trams in the next decade. But at a public meeting last night, two groups - the Public Transport Users Association and NZ Transport 2050 - said the government has it all wrong.
