Police reopen investigation into death of Libby McKay

From Morning Report, 7:50 am on 25 October 2018

Police are reopening an investigation into the death of Libby McKay, after her Mother raised doubts about how she died. Libby McKay aged 27 died after suffering a serious head injury in 2013, in Christchurch. The coroner and the police initially accepted her boyfriend's explanation that she had fallen out of his ute he was driving. Libby Mckay's mother, Pauline Webby did not believe that explanation and has contacted crash experts who are skeptical about how she died too. National's MP for Nelson Nick Smith was approached by the family and wrote to the Police Commissioner urging another inquiry into Libby Mckay's death.
