Delay in meth-related compensation criticised

From Morning Report, 7:40 am on 30 October 2018

Anti-poverty campainers say it's shameful that the Government hasn't managed to work out how to compensate state house tenants wrongly evicted for meth contamination. Housing Minister Phil Twyford is getting urgent legal advice after discovering just last week a regulation change could be needed before the evicted tenants can be paid. Auckland Action Against Poverty spokesperson, Ricardo Menendez-March says the delay is unacceptable. Beneficiary advocate Kay Brereton says it's appalling government agencies haven't been able to sort out compensation by now.
