'Take the keys' - lawyer says after drink-driving fatality

From Morning Report, 6:16 am on 31 October 2018

The lawyer for a man who was driving a ute that crashed and killed a teenage passenger says it's been a horrible ordeal for all involved. Robbie Cederwall - who was 17 - was seriously injured after the vehicle he and seven others were in crashed while doing doughnuts on the beach at Rothesay Bay in June. The prefect at Rangitoto College died in hospital several days later. Eighteen-year-old Regan Baxter, the driver, had been drinking. Around 50 people packed the court room for his sentencing at the North Shore District Court yesterday. Baxter's lawyer Steve Cullen spoke outside court.
