Taumarunui locals shake, not stirred, by 6.2 earthquake

From Morning Report, 7:16 am on 31 October 2018

The 6.2 magnitude earthquake that hit the central North Island on Tuesday afternoon was apparently felt by an estimated 15,000 people across New Zealand. GNS Science says it struck about 25 kilometres southwest of Taumarunui at exactly 3.13pm, not that anyone in the small King Country town seems to have noticed. RNZ reporter Robin Martin reports from the quake's epicentre.
