Franz Josef hopes to keep only preschool open

Worried residents in the tiny West Coast settlement of Franz Josef are expecting to find out this week if the only pre-school in town is closing down. Owner, Kids First, says it's losing money has to make decisions about its future. With the next closest pre-school a 1.5-hour drive away in Hokitika, families are facing the prospect of having to give up jobs in order to stay home with their children.
