MBIE spends $95m on contractors, consultants

Major government departments are spending massive amounts on contractors despite the government's order to cut back. The Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment has spent almost $100 million for the second year in a row. Inland Revenue's spend has trebled in as many years and is on a track to hit $180 million annually.
