Chief Censor adds suicide warning to A Star is Born

From Morning Report, 7:55 am on 7 November 2018

The Chief Censor's office has belatedly added a suicide warning label to the film A Star is Born, which is currently screening in New Zealand. The Mental Health Foundation says it's heard from viewers who found a suicide scene in the film 'severely distressing', while police told the Chief Censor two vulnerable young people were 'severely triggered' by it. When the film was released here the rating was carried over from Australia, and there was initially no warning about suicide. David Shanks is the Chief Censor. He talks to Susie Ferguson.
