Dome Valley locals fight rubbish dump plan

A small north Auckland community is fiercely opposing a plan to build a huge rubbish dump in its back yard. The Chinese government owned company Waste Management has been given approval from the Overseas Investment Office to buy land in the Dome Valley for a landfill. Local woman Leane Barry was one of the first to raise alarm about the project - she told our reporter Rowan Quinn about the company's visit to her home last month.
