Naenae church embarks on building project for locals in need

From Morning Report, 6:18 am on 13 November 2018

A Hutt Valley church community that has previously protested about the shortage of social housing in the city is putting its money where its mouth is and building five new homes for needy people. In 2017 parishioners from St David's Anglican Church occupied a vacant Housing New Zealand site in suburban Naenae, creating a tent city to oppose homelessness. Now it has purchased property beside the church for the new homes.
