Confidence in NZTA undermined after WOF saga - National

From Morning Report, 6:09 am on 23 November 2018

The National Party says public confidence in the Transport Agency has been completely undermined by its handling of warrants of fitness failings. The agency only suspended a Dargaville garage's license following a fatality - despite investigating the business since 2011. National Party associate transport spokesperson Brett Hudson says NZTA's failings over safety checks hadn't been brought to Parliament's attention during his party's time in power. Mr Hudson says he expects some serious questions to be answered and why it had taken so long for anyone to act. He spoke to RNZ political reporter Jo Moir.
