Some hospital staff to see pay rise of more than 40 percent

Cleaners and other workers in public hospitals are looking at substantial pay rises, in some cases more than 40 percent over the next three years, after years of incremental salary increases of just a few cents an hour. A Multi-Employer Agreement, or MECA, has been signed between the country's 20 District Health Boards and the E Tu Union.
