Civil Defence emergency test alert gets to half of NZers

Civil Defence says its nationwide test alert this evening was a success. Early indications are that the alert was transmitted to all parts of the country with cell phone coverage which is what it was aiming for. The annual test makes sure that New Zealanders know when their life, health or property were in danger. Ministry of Civil Defence and Emergency director - Sarah Stuart-Black - joins us now
