Johnson will do better overseas - Kemp

A former Warriors coach says halfback Shaun Johnson will be better off at another NRL club. The rugby league club agreed yesterday to Johnson's request to be released from the final year of his contract. Johnson made his Warriors debut in 2011 and has been the face of the Auckland-based club for several years, making 162 appearances. Former Warriors coach Tony Kemp told RNZ Sport's Stephen Hewson he believes the club handled things poorly.
