Kaikōura surf break saved from development

Plans for a cycleway and a seawall in Kaikōura have been scrapped to preserve the Mangamaunu Bay surfbreak - dubbed the Malibu of New Zealand. The Surfbreak Protection Society took legal action which led the Transport Agency to cancel the projects. Annie Bermingham is from the Surfbreak Protection Society. She tells Susie Ferguson the surfbreak is wild and people like it like that.
