Chronic pain sufferer urges govt to allow cannabis use
A long-time sufferer of chronic pain says she relies on cannabis, but the Government still won't let her use it legally. The Health Minister David Clark's extending his medicinal cannabis legislation to allow all those in palliative care exemption from prosecution if they use it to alleviate pain, not just those with less than 12 months to live. A retired Aucklander Pearl Schomburg told our political reporter Gia Garrick she's pleased more people will be helped, but there are thousands more the Government should be helping too.
