Vocal fry in young NZ women on the rise

Now this next story is likely to get you talking - or perhaps yelling - and that's the news that vocal fry is on the rise in New Zealand. The speech phenomenon - where the voice drops almost to a growl at the end of a sentence - is often associated with Hollywood celebrities like the Kardashians. But a new research paper in the New Zealand Medical Journal says its use is growing here.
