Early intervention urged to prevent family violence

The justice sector's chief science advisor has singled out early intervention as a crucial way to combat New Zealand's staggering family violence statistics. A report into family violence was published yesterday and says prevention is possible. Ninety-two women were killed by their partner, and 52 children died from abuse and neglect in the seven years to 2015.
