Minister forced to rethink after Ngāpuhi Settlement rejection

The Minister of Treaty Negotiations Andrew Little will be forced to go back to the drawing board after Ngāpuhi overwhelmingly rejected a plan for who should represent them in treaty negotiations with the Crown. The final voting results released yesterday confirmed the evolved Ngāpuhi Treaty Settlement mandate failed to win the support of its people. Te Manu Korihi reporter John Boynton has more.
