Southern Response chair resignation welcomed by quake claimants

From Morning Report, 6:35 am on 19 December 2018

The resignation of the chair of the quake settlement agency that spied on Christchurch homeowners is being welcomed by the quake claimants. Southern Response chair Ross Butler resigned last night after a scathing report from the State Services Commission. It found the security firm Thompson and Clark had secretly recorded meetings of dissatisfied Southern Response clients. One of the organisers of the meetings, Jake Preston, told reporter Conan Young that being labelled activitists when they were just trying to help other home owners was very upsetting.
