Auckland Council submissions need overhaul - Berentson-Shaw

A democracy researcher says Auckland Council needs to overhaul how it seeks feedback from residents to make sure marginal voices are not drowned out. As we have been reporting older, wealthier, Pakeha residents are dominating discussions ... even in areas of the city where they're a minority. Dr Jess Berentson-Shaw is a research associate at the Public Policy Institute at The University of Auckland and the co-director of The Workshop. She talks to Susie Ferguson.
