Lights out for Eden Park? Downtown stadium group makes offer

A private consortium vying to build a national stadium on Auckland's waterfront says they'll bail out cash-strapped Eden Park - if they're allowed to go ahead with their project. The Eden Park Trust has been under a cloud since an independent report laid-bare its financial troubles, with losses expected to top $80 million within a decade.
