NZers on hunger strike in Aus bracing to wait out authorities

New Zealanders on hunger strike over their treatment in Australian immigration detention centres expect authorities to try to wait them out. A protest organiser, Alvin Tuala, says talks with managers at several centres on Tuesday got nowhere. Alvin Tuala told Phil Pennington, on the cellphone from detention, that scores of detainees have agreed to keep on refusing most solid food after a fortnight of going hungry.
