FPA compulsion emerges as key issue

A debate is emerging over whether proposals for Fair Pay Agreements, which would set minimum standards for employment, should be compulsory. A working group led by former Prime Minister Jim Bolger could not decide whether the system should be compulsory, and says it's a decision the government should make. Stephen Blumenfeld is director of Victoria University's Centre for Labour, Employment and Work, and was part of the Working Group who considered the issue. He speaks to Alex Perrottet.
