Nelson fire: Patience wearing thin for evacuees
Patience is wearing thin among some Tasman residents who still don't know when they might be allowed to return home. Many of more than 3-thousand people evacuated by a wildfire that has razed about two and a half thousand hectares of land south of Nelson have returned home, but several hundred remain in limbo. While one or two tempers flared at a community meeting last night, most have resigned themselves to a long wait.
