Dunedin suspends Lime scooters until proven safe

Lime has been asked to remove its scooters from Dunedin's streets until it can prove its fleet is safe. It's the second city to do so, after Auckland council temporarily suspended the company's trial licenses because of safety concerns with the brakes. Dunedin City Council spokesperson Simon Pickford told our reporter Eva Corlett the council will wait until Auckland hears back before letting scooters back on its streets.
