Christchurch shooting: Police stand guard at scene

The police in Christchurch are standing guard at the scene of a shootout between them and a wanted man on Tuesday night. They say the man fled from them, but was stopped by road spikes on Eveleyn Couzins Avenue, in Richmond. He fired at officers, who then fired back and hit him in the lower body. The man is under armed guard in a serious condition at Christchurch hospital. Reporter Conan Young is at the cordon.
