Mainzeal court decision cold comfort to tradies

Tradies owed millions of dollars from failed construction company Mainzeal aren't convinced they'll ever see a single cent. Mainzeal was the country's third largest construction company when it collapsed in 2013, owing creditors more than $110 million. Last year the liquidators took a civil law suit against some of its directors, including former prime minister Dame Jenny Shipley. Yesterday the High Court ruled the directors had failed in their duties, and are liable for 36 million dollars. Eva Corlett reports.
