Canterbury hospitals on measles alert

From Morning Report, 8:36 am on 27 February 2019

The Canterbury District Health Board is on high alert after three people contracted the highly infectious disease measles in four days. The disease is potentially fatal and one person remains in hospital. None of the three had been vaccinated. In January, the World Health Organisation warned that 'vaccine hesitancy' is one of the top 10 biggest health threats facing humanity.
