Bowel cancer survival rates depend on where you live - report

From Morning Report, 8:39 am on 5 March 2019

If you're a bowel cancer patient and live in Auckland, you have a much better chance of surviving major surgery than if you live in other parts of the country such as Whanganui. And if you're Maori, you have more chance of dying after surgery than non Maori. The discrepancies are revealed in new data in the Bowel Cancer Quality Improvement Report released today. One of the report authors Professor Ian Bissett spoke to Guyon Espiner.
