High road police turnover raises questions

The police are being questioned by their own staff about how serious they are when it comes to road policing and the road toll. Last year the turnover in road police was 45 percent, as a steady stream of officers left for other parts of the police. Permanent road policing staff say it's a symptom of it being seen as a lesser job, harking back to the when traffic and police officers were separate. RNZ police reporter Ben Strang has more.
