An employment lawyer says a case being taken by linesworkers seeking to prove they're employees, not contractors, is timely and could set an important precedent. The workers are preparing a class action against Chorus subcontractor Visionstream, saying the company's system is driving them bankrupt. Visionstream pays a set-price for each job, which workers say is well below what it should be - and sometimes they work 60 hour weeks, for little to no pay.
