Consumer NZ says the Government needs to intervene to make sure that people living in earthquake-prone areas can get insurance. IAG, the parent company of insurance brands AMI and State, changed its policy last week and will no longer offer contents insurance for new customers in the Wellington area. On Monday, RNZ sought answers from government ministers and IAG, but all declined to come on Morning Report.
