Canterbury doctor says 100,000 need measles vaccination

From Morning Report, 7:45 am on 12 March 2019

The doctor in charge of the response to Canterbury's measles outbreak says 100,000 people in the region need to be vaccinated against the disease. At the moment people needing the measles vaccine are being told to wait in their cars at their local GPs in an attempt to prevent the disease from being spread in waiting-rooms. The number of measles cases in Canterbury has climbed to 25 and officials say it's likely to rise even further over the coming days. Phil Schroeder is from Rolleston Health and coordinates the community response to the outbreak. He speaks to Guyon Espiner.
