Rheumatic fever on the rise in NZ again
After a five year push to get rheumatic fever rates in New Zealand down, they are on the rise again. Last year 188 people - mostly children - had their first bout of rheumatic fever. The illness has been stamped out in many well-off countries and experts say it is shameful that it not only persists, but is increasing in New Zealand. Philippa Tolley has more.
