UK, US Imams visit Christchurch after attacks
A religious leader from Texas, Imam Omar Suleiman, has arrived in Christchurch to be with the Muslim community in the wake of the attack. Imam Omar Suleiman is the President of the Yaqeen Institute for Islamic Research and a Professor of Islamic Studies at Southern Methodist University. Imam Qasim Rashid Ahmad is the chief executive of the Al-Khair Foundation, an international Muslim aid NGO based in the UK. He arrived in Christchurch on Thursday to support the Muslim community, the victims and their families. They speak to Susie Ferguson and Mohamed Hassan.
